Guys, this version requires lots, and lots of finetuning.
Got my copy today, and worked 4 till 5 hours before I got my current configuration, which brought me from 9.5 frames at Amsterdam Schiphol to 25.
So it is possible to get a nice performance, but you've got to work for it to get it exactly tuned for your PC.

Yeah, I called my local EB Games store Friday. They said they only had 1 copy of each standard and deluxe. I practically hung up the phone on the guy and raced down there to grab the very last copy of deluxe . Moral of the story: it is out, and it is going fast.

As for the tweaks, my system is about a year or so old. The game runs just fine but had to turn A LOT of stuff down as compared to the demo. Sadly I haven't seen enough of the game yet to get anywhere close to the screenshots.

I have a question tho....is there a list of these "detailed" cities yet? I've flown around NYC, Atlanta, and Orlando and they all look like poop. I couldn't even find the statue of liberty .

Chances are it didn't show up because your scenery settings wern't high enough. I know that Seattle is one of the detailed city. (amoung Many)

man ............. if it's runing slow on your computers it would KILL mine ............... which is a basic dell ......... with a ........... 64mb graphics card ....................... i still get really crappy frames when i fly over a large city .......................................................... but i will be getting a better computer a christmas and its not going to be a dell !! YEAH !!

I read somewhere (fatwallet?) that fry's had FSX standard @ $35, don't know about deluxe. (Then again I don't even know what fry's is other than it's a store, but they seem to have a lot of deals).

Frys is like a store version of Newegg.com but they have higher prices. They're mainly in California but have other locations. From their website, it says standard version is $37.99.

Yeah, I'm runnin like a 1.8 GHZ Proc, 1 Gig RAM, and a 128 MB GeForce 5200. I have to turn all my settings down to practically nothing otherwise I get a frame rate of negative 10 million .
